T-BALL and C-BALL

T-Ball is open to anyone (male and female), ages 4-6 and C-Ball is open to all those (again, male and female), ages 7-9. The cost for registered parishioners is $35 per child and $45 for non-parishioners. Each player will receive a uniform shirt and a hat, and a small picnic for all players and their families will be held at the end of the season to distribute trophies.

The season will run every Saturday morning throughout June, July and early August. We will play a total of eight games, and each team will practice once a week. All games will be held at Field Elementary School.

The program is dependant upon volunteer coaches. If you are interested in helping out this summer, please fill out a “Coach’s Application” and turn it in to the main office before the registration deadline. Per the Archdiocese of Detroit rules and regulations, all volunteers in the parish MUST complete a background check through the State of Michigan, as well as complete the “Protecting God’s Children” workshop prior to volunteering. More information regarding this will be given out once you have applied for the coaching position, but please understand that ALL coaches must have these two items completed
before the season begins.

The St. Thomas a’Becket Little League program is an eight-week, inter-parish league consisting of two different levels of youth baseball: T-Ball, aimed towards those ages 4–6 and C-Ball (or Coach Pitch), designed for those ages 7–9.

Practices are held once a week throughout the season (locations may vary) and games are held every Saturday morning at Field Elementary school off of Haggerty Road in Canton. The T-Ball games are held at 9:00 AM and the C-Ball games follow at 10:30 AM.
