ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
The vision of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul "is to embrace the world in a network of charity." Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frédéric Ozanam, and patron, St. Vincent de Paul.
Do you need food, clothing, shelter, or financial assistance? Contact the Parish Office at (734) 981-1333 and ask to leave a message for the St. Vincent de Paul Society. A Vincentian will get back to you very quickly to determine the best way to meet your needs. In addition to providing food, clothing, and other assistance, Vincentians can direct people to a network of community resources that may assist them.
How can you support the work of St. Vincent de Paul?
After each Mass, you will notice Vincentians holding top hats in the Gathering Space. The money placed into these top hats is used to fund the work of the Vincentians. In addition to supporting parishioners in need, the Vincentians support three parishes in Detroit: St. Dominic, St. Patrick and St. Benedict, as well as area food banks.
Would you like to join the Society of St. Vincent de Paul?
The Vincentians are always looking for new members. Do you feel a special calling to offer person-to-person service? Leave your contact information in the Parish Office. A representative from St. Vincent de Paul will contact you.
SVDP meets the first Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. You may also speak with one of the Vincentians holding the top hats after Mass.
