Relay for Life gives us many opportunities to celebrate and support cancer survivors. Below is information specific to the Relay for Life-Canton event. If you would like more general information, visit the American Cancer Society online.
Who is a survivor?: A survivor is anyone who has ever been diagnosed with cancer. You become a survivor the minute after your diagnosis. Whether you just received a diagnosis, are currently undergoing treatment or it has been many years since your cancer, you are a survivor.
Survivor Lap : Survivors are invited to walk the first lap in the Relay for Life. The Survivors lap takes place at the very beginning of Relay on Saturday. Please plan to arrive early to check in and receive your t-shirt, beads, etc.
Survivor Luncheon and Celebration: All survivors and their caregivers are invited to a Survivor Luncheon and Celebration on Saturday.
Please RSVP for the luncheon by signing up in the Gathering Space after Masses or email Cathy Hulett at cathy.hulett@abecket.org.
Survivor t-shirt: Each survivor receives a t-shirt courtesy of ACS. You can pick your shirt up at the check in table on Saturday morning. If you are unable to make the event, please email Relay chair Anne Fisher at amfish@ameritech.net.
