REQUIRED PREPARATION ACTIVITIES FOR STUDENTS RECEIVING THEIR FIRST HOLY COMMUNION

In order to receive First Holy Communion, students and parents must:

• Have completed two years of Faith Formation* (including the year spent preparing for First Communion);
• Complete the course of study and the gold book;
• Attend the required parent meetings;
• Submit an original baptismal certificate (if your child was not baptized at St. Thomas a'Becket), along with a form requesting your preferred Mass date;
• Attend the Family Reconciliation Service for First Communion candidates on Sunday, March 25 at 3:30 PM;
• Complete an evening of preparation activities during class time the week of March 29-31;
• You must complete all of the steps above (including submitting an original baptismal certificate) before you may request a First Communion date.

* Students do not automatically make their First Communion in second grade if they have not completed two years of Faith Formation.
