FAITH FORMATION COMMISSION MISSION AND OBJECTIVES
OUR MISSION
The mission of the St. Thomas a Becket Adult Faith Formation Committee is to provide opportunities for personal encounters and communal encounters with Jesus Christ. We will initiate and nurture conscious, intentional, and lifelong adult faith formation for our Catholic community.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
- Invite and train new members for the team.
- Work with pastor, staff, commissions, parish in general to understand the needs in adult faith and plan accordingly.
- Laura will continue to promote pastoral staff meetings which will focus on a pastoral plan for adult faith formation.
- Work with and support “Young Adults” ministry.
- Support the Living in Christ Parish-based Retreats.
- Work with the new Family Faith Formation initiative.
- Identify existing small groups within the parish: support and encourage small group sharing and provide resources.
- Integrate Evangelization into all AFF opportunities.
- Make conscious use of the language: evangelization, discipleship.
- Ongoing formation for AFF.
- Promote faith formation at all parish meetings.
- Download the specific objectives for 2010-2011.
