Knights of Columbus at Mass

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS

The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest lay apostolate organization with a direct connection to what Jesus said, "Go teach all nations whatsoever I have commanded you." He did not mean just the 12 apostles, the 125 disciples, or the hundreds of converts by Peter and the apostles on the first Pentecost. He meant us today. We are today's lay apostles for the promotion of the teachings of Jesus Christ, to continue good works and seek other good Catholic men to join our Order.

The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic organization. Catholic means ‘Universal’ and the Knights focus their activities trying to exemplify this meaning. The activities we promote and participate in fall under six categories : Council, Community, Church, Family, Pro-Life, and Youth. Our activities range from supporting Church fellowship activities, MI Fund Raising (i.e. Tootsie Roll Sales), community charities, Youth Basketball and Pro-Life support functions. These are very fulfilling and help bring enrichment to our members.

K of C meetings are held the third Wednesday of the month in the Adult Faith Formation room. The officers' meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. and the general meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. The general meeting is open to First Degree Knights and higher. In order to attend a meeting, each prospective member must be sponsored by a Knight.

Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to all Catholic gentlemen 18 years of age and older who are in communion with the Holy See. You should consider becoming a Knight if:

  • You want to support your church and grow in your faith;
  • You believe in family values;
  • You have an interest in the welfare of young people;
  • You want to interact with people who share your beliefs;
  • You have a desire to financially protect your loved ones;
  • You are a practicing Catholic man at least 18 years old;
